一，首先明白短文改錯的設錯方式：
1）錯詞 更正
2）多詞 刪除
3）缺詞 補漏
4）正確 不改
二，掌握改錯的格式：
短文改錯 （共10小題; 每小題1分，滿分10分）
如有錯誤（每行只有一個錯誤），則按下列情況改正：
此行多一個詞：把多餘的詞用斜線（）劃掉
此行缺一個詞：在缺詞處加一個漏字元號（∧），在該符號下寫出該加的詞。
此行錯一個詞：在錯的詞下劃一橫線，在該橫線下寫出改正後的詞。
注意：原行沒有錯的不要改。
三，改錯步驟：
1. Go through the whole passage to get a general idea .
2. Read the passage sentence by sentence and find the mistakes.
3. Read the passage for the third time, check the answers and correct the difficult ones.

1、動詞形
主要包括兩類錯誤：動詞的時態和語態錯誤，以及主、謂不一致的錯誤。例如：
NMET2000： Now my picture and prize is hanging in the library. ＿＿＿＿
NMET’2003：She liked it very much and reads it
to the class. ＿＿＿＿
Of course, when my mother was asked, “Have you…” ______
2、名詞數
指名詞單、複數形式的用法錯誤。常表現為將名詞複數寫成單數。例如：
NMET2001：…so that I’ll get good marks in all my subject. ＿
NMET2003: Their word were a great encouragement to me. _____
3冠詞連詞常光顧
常考的錯誤形式有：連詞but， and， or和so的用法錯誤，以及冠詞的用法錯誤等。例如：
NMET2000： She was smiling but nodding me． ＿＿＿
NMET2001： It looks as if my parents treat me visitor and a guest. ＿＿＿＿
NMET2001： We may be one family and live under a same roof. ＿＿＿＿
4還要注意形和副
注意形容詞和副詞在句子中的作用和具體用法。這也是大學聯考短文改錯題的常考點。例如：
NMET 2004 : I would describe myself as shy and quietly. _______
NMET 2005 : He asked angry if we finished the work. ______
5非謂語，細辨別
這是考查最多的錯誤形式之一。主要有現在分詞、過去分詞，動名詞和不定式錯誤。例如：
NMET2001： My parents love me… and will do all they can make sure… ＿＿＿＿
NMET 2002: We fed monkeys, visiting temples and told stories. _______
NMET 2003: Soon I began to enjoy talk to myself on paper as I was learning to express myself in simple English. ________
6習慣用法要記牢
主要考查習慣搭配方面的基礎知識，其錯誤表現形式主要有三種：多詞、少詞和搭配錯誤。例如：
NMET2000: Suddenly, I caught a sight of my English teacher. _______
NMET2003: My teacher advised me to keep my diary. ______
五，實際操練
At Christmas Eve, Jim went with his
father to choose a Christmas tree. They choose
a big one. It was almost as taller as the room!
